Anyango Reggy Gregory was born in Washington, D.C. to an African American mother and a Kenyan father. During her early infancy, her family moved to Kenya. In 1993, she returned to the United States to pursue a BA in Psychology from Eastern University, a master’s in International Affairs and Development from Clark Atlanta University, and a Ph.D. in African Studies and Research from Howard University. For six years, she was the Program Director for International Affairs with the American Friends Service Committee in St. Louis where she was responsible for educating and advocating for just and consistent U.S. foreign policies and addressing other social justice issues such as racial justice, climate justice, and workers’ rights, among others. Anyango has traveled to several parts of the world to serve as a consultant on projects centered on labor rights, gender justice, and conflict transformation; she’s a certified life coach who helps people to improve the quality of their lives; a counselor who works with individuals to identify and address the root causes of trauma; and a conflict transformation specialist who conducts workshops on how to effectively and successfully manage conflict. Currently she is the Associate Regional Director for AFSC's U.S. South Region. In addition, she serves as an adjunct professor at Beulah Heights University where she teaches courses on cross-cultural communications, peace and conflict studies, and leadership development.

Tausif Sanzum is the media relations manager at AFSC working primarily with international programs. He is also a journalist with works in the Huffington Post, Bangor Daily News, Washington Blade, among others.
