Cecile "CC" Crawford is the Program Director for AFSC North Carolina. CC is a native of Greensboro, NC and an alumna of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University (Bachelor of Arts in History) and University of North Carolina Greensboro (Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology). She has organized around the issues of housing and healthcare as well as the need for expungements and support for justice-involved individuals.
CC is working to disrupt cycles of poverty, whether that be disparities in education, income or housing. She understands the need to build community solidarity across class, race, ethnicity, gender, and U.S.-born or migration status. She loves North Carolina and works hard to help support multi-ethnic, immigrant, refugee, poor, elder, and working-class families in building power from the ground up in order to speak truth to power and make material changes in their conditions.
She enjoys time with her three dogs, watching anime and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
Bryan Vana is the Regional Communications Specialist for AFSC's U.S. South Region. He is based in Baltimore, MD.
JoAnna Vance is the program coordinator AFSC's West Virginia Economic Justice Project (WVEJ). JoAnna has worked on economic justice issues since 2018, developing and growing “people powered” projects that build on grassroots organizations by expanding their capital; raising questions or alternatives; developing sound organizing strategies; recruiting leadership; and facilitating trainings.
