Nuclear weapons do not make us safer. They threaten every community, every ecosystem, and every future generation. And yet the U.S. continues to invest billions in these weapons of mass destruction—ignoring the moral and strategic imperative to disarm.
Earlier this year, Rep. Jim McGovern introduced a resolution (H. Res 317) that would finally shift U.S. nuclear policy. It is a bold call in working toward a world free of nuclear weapons. Fourteen members of Congress have joined as original cosponsors, but we need support from every elected official.
