The Regional Director is the official representative of the AFSC in the Middle East, and as such is expected to translate Quaker values into action in the region. The Regional Director leads, develops and manages AFSC programs in the region and provides the vision and leadership for the organization’s programs and policy advocacy and public education related to U.S. and EU policy in the Middle East. They supervise and guide AFSC staff in the region.
The Potts Court Watch Intern will support AFSC North Carolina’s work to build power with a coalition that uplifts the voices of low-income tenants and communities most harmed by systemic housing injustice. Rooted in Quaker values and guided by AFSC’s mission to promote peace with justice, the intern will assist in ongoing efforts to monitor eviction court, collect and analyze data, and uplift the narratives of people impacted by eviction and displacement.
The Friends Center Executive Director is responsible for leading and managing the operations, maintenance, and business affairs of Friends Center consistent with its mission. Friends Center is a Quaker corporation owned in partnership by Central Philadelphia Friends Meeting, Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, and the American Friends Service Committee (the “equity partners”). It is home to the equity partners and over twenty other tenants (including a day care center) whose missions complement or advance the missions of the partners.
