Mariama (she/her) has been working with AFSC’s Palestine Activism Program since June 2025. She creates and shares resources that educate people and communities across North America about ongoing events in Palestine and empowers them to take action against Israeli apartheid. Mariama received her BA in Religion from Bryn Mawr College, where she organized with her campus chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace and wrote her thesis on Christian Zionism in children’s media.
Dr. Karen Francis’s work is grounded in the principles of diversity, equity, inclusion and cultural competence. She received the Diversity MBA's Top 25 Leaders of Impact Award, recognizing her outstanding contributions to advancing equity and inclusion in her field.
Divine Nkwelle is the program coordinator for AFSC's New Hampshire Program. From the Southwest Region of Cameroon, Divine holds an MA in Conflict Resolution and Coexistence from Brandeis University, an MA in Intercultural Conflict Management from Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, Germany, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Buea, Cameroon. His research and practice emphasize inclusive governance, conflict prevention, and human rights–based approaches to sustainable peace.
AFSC’s Research Analyst initiates, crafts, guides, and carries out strategic corporate research projects in collaboration with program staff across the AFSC, movement allies globally, and AFSC partners, to promote AFSC’s advocacy goals and support on the local, national, and international levels. The Research Analyst responds to information queries, manages the Investigate information center project website, and works with others to design and maintain the Investigate project.
Samia (she/they) is a Palestinian-American psychologist, sociologist, and organizer whose focus is on coalition building and developing strong cross-movement solidarity to resource collective liberation and Indigenous struggles from Turtle Island to Palestine.
Samia received their BA from Swarthmore College. They hold an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Goddard College, where they wrote their Master's thesis on Liberation Psychology and decolonizing healing/mental health work.
