This “militarized spending” is 62% of the amount that Congress passed in their spending bills. That's billions of dollars that could've gone towards programs that support our communities. The Pentagon budget, full of waste and abuse, is diverting funds away from important investments into our communities. We must demand our leaders deliver better health care, schools, and jobs. We must call for divestment from weapons, war, and corporate defense contractors.
