Since taking office, President Trump has worked to end crucial protections for more than 300,000 immigrants from six countries with Temporary Protected Status (TPS). This life-saving program provides protection from deportation to people from certain countries afflicted by natural disasters, war, or other dangerous conditions—allowing them to live and work in the U.S.
On Tuesday, President Donald Trump hosted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain at the White House, where the guests signed agreements normalizing their diplomatic relations. The ceremony followed recent announcements by the U.S. that it had helped facilitate separate diplomatic agreements between Israel and the UAE and Israel and Bahrain.
On September 13th, as the closing event of our Days of Action to #FreeThemAll, we hosted a Call to reflection and worship. We came together for our brothers, sisters, and kin to center the stories, testimonies, and spirits of our loved ones deprived of their freedom as we move forward in collective healing and resistance. This interfaith meeting for reflection and worship welcomed all voices in chorus with the words of invited speakers for all those in prisons, jails and detention centers and their loved ones.
