As a Quaker organization, we believe that every person has inherent worth and should be treated with dignity, no matter where they were born. We join with people across the country demanding that our elected officials uphold these values, too.  

But since taking office, the Trump administration has taken brutal measures to vastly expand detention and deportation. Now it is targeting peaceful protesters in Los Angeles and could do the same elsewhere.  

Congress is moving toward a vote on the Trump Administration’s cuts to the foreign aid budget. But cutting funding for peacebuilding, humanitarian aid, and poverty reduction makes the U.S. less safe. It also increases international suffering. Tell Congress to say NO to the White House rescissions package, which proposes to cut nearly $9 billion dollars in funding from the previously approved budget.
