Mark leads the Communications Department and the Donor Marketing Team at the American Friends Service Committee. Originally hired for a 12-week stint in 1999, Mark has been with AFSC in different capacities ever since. During that time, he has led efforts in web strategy and development, public education materials, public opinion research, fundraising appeals and marketing, brand strategy, and advocacy campaigns. Now, he does a bit of everything and serves on the Language Justice Working Group, Security Steering Group, Leadership Team, and is the communications liaison for economic justice work. Mark attended Oberlin College and started his communications and marketing career working in their public relations department. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife, author/illustrator Amy Ignatow, and two curious children.
