Douglas Juárez is from Guatemala with studies in political science and experience on social projects with civil society with emphasis on capacity building, advocacy, and human rights. He serves as AFSC's Latin America and Caribbean Advocacy coordinator. As a member of the regional leadership team, Douglas leads AFSC’s advocacy and policy strategies, supporting both, the Peace with social justice and the Migration justice regional programs by building and supporting coalitions and mobilizing constituencies to protecting and expanding political spaces so that people historically impacted by systems of oppression in the region can participate and influence decision-making focused on social, environmental, and migration justice.
