WHY: A year into the war in Sudan, more than 14,000 civilians have been killed, 10 million people have been forced to flee their homes, and millions are on the brink of famine. Half of the country’s children, a staggering 14 million, are in need of humanitarian aid. We cannot stand idly by and watch this humanitarian crisis unfold.
This event is being hosted by Amnesty International USA, Refugees International, the Sudanese American Physicians Association, the Sudanese American Public Affairs Association, Refugee Congress, Never Again Coalition, Girifna, U.S. Educated Sudanese Association, NoirUnited, American Friends Service Committee, Advocacy Network for Africa and iACT.
