In response to coronavirus, AFSC asks staff to work from home

As AFSC has been closely monitoring the increasing threat of the coronavirus (COVID-19) across the world, we have taken steps to protect the safety of our staff, communities, supporters, and partners.

Dear Friends, Supporters, and Partners:

As AFSC has been closely monitoring the increasing threat of the coronavirus (COVID-19) across the world, we have taken steps to protect the safety of our staff, communities, supporters, and partners. We are taking the unprecedented step to ask all staff to work from home for at least the rest of the month of March and refrain from planning and attending larger group meetings and events. We made this decision based on consultation with medical and security experts as well as other national and international nonprofit organizations.

We know that taking these measures will affect program activities in many communities. We strongly believe that we have a responsibility to protect the safety and well being of all AFSC staff and volunteers from exposure and have an equal public responsibility of not contributing to the potential of community spread.

We ask for your understanding and patience as we continue to monitor and respond to this global pandemic. We commit to provide periodic communications and also address any concerns and questions you might have. Thank you.

Gracias.
