La mesa de Ni1Mas, un proyecto de AFSC, está compuesta por personas que luchan contra su deportación o la de sus familiares. Los miembros trabajan para apoyarse mutuamente en su lucha por mantener unidas a sus familias, para llevar la realidad de la detención y la deportación al público y trabajar para cambiar las políticas para que otras familias no experimenten lo que están pasando.
La mesa de Ni1Mas cree que las personas directamente afectadas tienen las mejores ideas de cómo se debe reformar el sistema de inmigración. Para llevar las voces de los inmigrantes al centro del impulso de la reforma migratoria, los miembros de Ni1Mas han comenzado un diálogo sobre lo que debe contener la reforma migratoria. La discusión continúa, pero queríamos compartir una reflexión inicial con usted sobre tres áreas clave que deben incluirse en la reforma migratoria.
CAMINO a CIUDADANIA
- Todos que contribuimos a este país tengan oportunidad de ser ciudadanos, sin tener que hablar el idioma
- Que las personas que cometen un delito ya pagaron ante la sociedad no deben de estar castigado con deportación.
- Quitar de la ley que criminaliza entrada sin permiso
- que dan otra oportunidad a las personas que cometieron un delito.

REUNIFICACION FAMILIAR
- Cuando alguien entra ilegalmente no debe ser criminalizado, debemos de quitar esta ley, y los castigos de 10, y 20 años, de toda la vida
- Que el camino sea segura y transparente, no algo de tanta discreción.
- Que incluir cualquier persona que ha estado deportado.
- Liberar y reunificar niños separados en la frontera con sus familias. compensación a las familias por su trauma y el daño que experimentaron.

RESPETAR LOS DERECHOS CIVILES Y HUMANOS DE MIGRANTES Y REFUGIADOS
- La policía Debe de explicar bien derechos y no colaborar con ICE
- Debe haber sido oportunidad de defenderse y tener representación legal
- Un permiso de tener derechos igual
- Reconocer que los derechos que hay es por los inmigrantes y sus esfuerzos de conseguir derechos laborales
- Oportunidades sin respeto al color del piel y fin de perfil racial

ACCESO A SERVICIOS
- Parar la discriminación por no tener papeles.
- Interpretación y traducción que debe estar en todas las clínicas- gratis y para todas personas para que todos se entiendan
- Un sistema en que todos tiene acceso al sistema de salud, aseguranza que cubre a todos. ahorita en las familias algunas tienen derecho y acceso a todo servicio médico y otros no tienen acceso a nada. Si lo cambiáramos esto diría que cada vida tendría el mismo valor.

POLITICAS QUE REDUCEN LA NECESIDAD DE MIGRAR (economías justas, disminuir violencia del estado y grupos criminales)
- Economía está mal allá, sería mejor tener un mejor sueldo en nuestros países de origen
- Cambiar políticas de EEUU de libre comercio, de IMF
- Negar los impactos de colonialismo que continúan

DESMILITARIZAR LA FRONTERA EU-MÉXICO
- Desmilitarizar la frontera Estados Unidos-México, y cese de todas las políticas y prácticas de aplicación de la ley que criminalizan y castigan a los inmigrantes y a los miembros de las comunidades fronterizas. Prevenir la extensión de operaciones militarizadas al interior del país.
- Terminar con todos los puntos de control que ocurren dentro de las 100 millas de la frontera.
- Requerir de las agencias fronterizas de aplicación de la ley, y de sus respectivos agentes, que acaten y mantengan las leyes locales, nacionales e internacionales, así como los derechos civiles y humanos a lo largo de la región fronteriza y en el interior del país.

Key Points for Changes at the Federal Level on Migration from the Not1More Table, a project of AFSC

The Not1More deportation table, a project of the AFSC, is a comprised of folks fighting their or their family members deportation. Members work to support each other in their fight to keep their families together, to bring the realities of detention and deportation to the public and work to change policies so other families don’t ’experience what they are going through.
The Not1More table believes that those directly impacted have the best insights into how the immigration system needs to be overhauled. To bring immigrant voices to the center of the push for immigration reform, Not1More members have begun a dialogue on what needs to be contained in immigration overhaul. The discussion continues, but we wanted to share initial thought with you on three key areas that need to be included in immigration overhaul.
ROAD TO CITIZENSHIP
- Everyone who contributes to this country should have the opportunity to be citizens, without having to speak the language
- That people who commit a crime who have already paid their due before society should not be punished with deportation.
- Remove from the law the criminalization of entering without permission
- That we give another chance to people who have committed a crime

FAMILY REUNIFICATION
- When someone enters illegally, they should not be criminalized, we must remove this law, and the penalties of 10, and 20 years, and of a lifetime.
- That the road is safe and transparent, not something of such discretion.
- That it should include anyone who has been deported.
- Release and reunify separated children at the border with their families. compensation to families for their trauma and the damage they experienced.

RESPECT THE CIVIL AND HUMAN RIGHTS OF MIGRANTS AND REFUGEES
- The police must explain rights well and not collaborate with ICE
- It must have been an opportunity to defend yourself and have legal representation
- A permission to have equal rights
- Recognize that the rights that exist are for immigrants and their efforts to achieve labor rights
- Opportunities without respect to skin color and end of racial profiling

ACCESS TO SERVICES
- Stop discrimination for not having papers.
- Interpretation and translation which should be in all clinics - free and for everyone so that everyone understands
- A system in which everyone has access to the health system, an insurance that covers everyone. Right now, some families have the right and access to all medical services and others have no access to anything. Implementing this change would go to say that each life would have the same value.

POLICIES THAT REDUCE THE NEED TO MIGRATE (fair economies, reduce violence from the state and criminal groups)
- Economy is bad there; it would be better to have a better salary in our countries of origin
- Change US policies of free trade, of MFIs
- Deny the impacts of colonialism that continue

DEMILITARIZE THE US-MEXICO BORDER
- Demilitarize the U.S.-Mexico border and cease all enforcement policies and practices that criminalize and punish immigrants and members of border communities. Prevent the extension of militarized border operations to the interior of the nation.
- End all checkpoints that occur within 100 miles of the border.
- Require border enforcement agencies and their respective agents to comply with and uphold local, national, and international laws and civil and human rights along the border region and in the interior of the country.
