September Garden Days
On Saturday September 10th, Peace by Piece NOLA (PxP) hosted a service day at our garden on 8729 Olive Street. Volunteers removed weeds from garden beds and prepared them for our fall growing season.
On Saturday, September 24th, PxP participated in Xavier University's Service Saturday. Over 20 volunteers from Xavier University weeded and painted 10 garden beds at our 9000 Oleander garden. Thank you to all of the volunteers who participated in the event!
NSLS Meet 'n Greet
On Thursday, September 8, PxP participated in Xavier University's National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) Meet 'n Greet. Our Program Associate Blair Minnard and Grower Sara Green met with NSLS members and discussed our Sustainable Communities program in Hollygrove. Thank you to the NSLS for inviting us, and we look forward to working with you all!
