Kiana Minter

My name is Kiana Minter, and I’m from Logan, West Virginia. Throughout high school I worked with Baps, which focused on social justice issues happening around us. I enjoyed working with this group because of the many experiences I’ve gained, and I’ve learned about things going on around me and effects on my community. Through this group, I have learned to give a voice to not only myself, but to the ones who cannot speak.

I am currently a freshman at Marshall University, majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. I enjoy working with children and volunteering to help others.

When I’m not spending my time at school and studying, I am hanging out with my friends, reading, or focusing on my self-care. I enjoy laughing and creating a positive atmosphere. My dream is to one day make the same impact that my teachers made on me while also giving back to my community.
