Artwork #7: “Together for Equal Education”
By Piseth Keochanmonyrachna
Positive change in education cannot be achieved by oneself. It requires cooperation among all stakeholders—teachers, students, parents, government, NGOs, and communities. Education must be inclusive and just, reaching all children, including ethnic minorities and girls, in even the most remote areas.
The artwork reinforces the idea that “Together for Education” is not just a slogan, but a shared responsibility and vision to create a better, more just education system for all.
Key elements in the artwork:
- Joined Hands in Different Skin Colors: Symbolize unity and equal rights among all people, despite differences in appearance or identity.
- An Open Book with Flowers and Plants : Represents knowledge, wisdom, growth, and hope. The Iris symbolizes education as a path to enlightenment and purity.
- Shared Holding of the Flower: Signifies the sharing of knowledge and collective commitment to learning without discrimination.
