As Palestinians in Gaza mark the holy month of Ramadan, AFSC and volunteers distributed parcels of fresh vegetables to displaced families.
Each parcel contained zucchini, tomatoes, carrots, avocados, potatoes, and other vegetables. Much of this produce was grown by local farmers receiving agricultural support from AFSC.
For Muslims worldwide, Ramadan is a time of fasting, reflection, and community. The act of breaking fast together at sunset carries deep spiritual meaning. We wanted to ensure that displaced Palestinians could do so with dignity. Ensuring people have access to fresh, nutritious food is part of that effort.
Thank you to everyone who has donated to AFSC's ongoing humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza. Since the start of the genocide, caring people like you have helped us reach more than 1 million Palestinians with aid. We are grateful for your steadfast support.
