This Valentine’s Day, join us in sending love and appreciation to our staff in Palestine who risk their lives and wellbeing every day to work for peace and justice!
February 14th will mark 26 days since the fragile cease-fire took effect in Gaza. As Palestinians there begin to rebuild their lives, the U.S. government continues to support the very structures that destroyed them–Israel’s apartheid regime, military occupation, and settler colonialism. Our government’s participation in this violence makes the work of our staff that much harder.
We join with millions across the world demanding an end to these harms. May love and flowers bloom in a world with freedom, justice, and equality for Palestinians.
How to share your Valentine to Palestine
- Add your own creative message of love and appreciation to the virtual card that we are sending to AFSC staff in Palestine. You can add pictures to the card, ex. you holding up a valentine, your own handmade valentine, or pictures of flowers. You can also add written messages. Take a look at these instructions on how to add to the card.
- Download the Valentine's Day graphic in English, Spanish, or Arabic, and change your social media profile picture for the month of February!

“If you grew up in Palestine like I did, you knew it was Valentine’s Day season when the best pop songs are released, when everyone on the streets was wearing red, and when all the locally grown roses were nearly sold out. As a little boy, I wasn’t concerned with buying romantic gifts, but I did enjoy the atmosphere and the energy on the streets of Gaza as people took the time to step away from the harsh reality of our surroundings to focus on romance, beauty, and gratitude.”
