The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) seeks a seasoned humanitarian who deeply understands our mission and values to lead a dedicated 3–6-month transition team to support a shift from short-term emergency relief to longer-term relief and recovery. This includes creating the infrastructure for the Rebuilding Gaza Volunteer Program. This is a Consultant position based in Gaza that could become long term. The Gaza program is vital to support recovery efforts following the recent cease-fire, providing critical and rebuilding infrastructure. The position will work with the Middle East Regional Director and Palestine team to enable Gaza teams to rest and recover.

The start date for this role will depend on the conditions in Gaza pending a permanent ceasefire. It also depends on securing relevant permits and permissions to enter Gaza.
