Friends Ambulance Service in China

The Friends Ambulance Unit/Friends Service Unit provided medical relief and transport services in China beginning in 1941. At the start the Unit was a joint operation between the British Friends Service Unit and the AFSC with the FSU managing the project. In 1946, the AFSC became fully responsible for the work in China, which continued under the name Friends Service Unit. The FAU continued to help with the administration of the Unit and officially disbanded in March 1947. The FSU operated in China from 1947 to 1949
