Temporary Protected Status (TPS) grants protection from deportation to people from certain countries that are afflicted by natural disasters, war, or other dangerous conditions. Additionally, TPS gives people the opportunity to apply for work and travel authorization, allowing them the freedom to provide for and visit their families.
