The Organizing and Advocacy Intern will work with Immigrant Rights Program staff to promote program vision and activities via organizing, outreach and education. The Organizing Intern will conduct outreach to legislators, rapid response organizations, and families of community members affected by detention and deportation. The Organizing Intern will coordinate meetings and provide support to immigrant families as well as contribute to the creation of a volunteer pipeline to support program activities.
The Supervising Attorney is responsible for supervision and support of Legal Services Staff based out of our Red Bank office; providing direct legal representation; monitoring project goals and objectives and developing reports for funders; and participation in local, state, and national advocacy activities. The Supervising Attorney will also play a key role in developing pro se clinics and community legal orientations, facilitating training sessions for advocates, and organizing legal screenings and workshops for low-income immigrants.
The Legal Assistant will be part of a team providing immigration legal services to low- income immigrants in . This position primarily supports the program’s fee-based affirmative immigration practice, with a focus on family-based immigration filings before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
