Member of Ujima Friends Meeting and Chestnut Hill (Pennsylvania) Monthly Meeting and co-founder of Ujima Friends Peace Center in North Philadelphia.  As an attorney I represented community development corporations and represented and assisted low-income tenants in Philadelphia. Phil has served on the AFSC Board of Directors, including as presiding clerk, and is clerk of the Governance Committee and  a member at large of the Corporation.
