Laura oversees AFSC's U.S. programs, working with U.S. regional directors and executive committees to manage and strengthen programs. She also works with the associate general secretary for international programs on cross-regional collaborative programs. Prior to joining AFSC, Laura served as associate vice president for community impact at the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, where she worked on youth development, financial stabilization for low-income workers, and organizational capacity building. Laura, a native of Queens, New York, and a graduate of Vassar College. She is a member of Providence Monthly Meeting in Pennsylvania, on the Education and Outreach Committee at Pendle Hill, and former assistant clerk for the Fellowship of Friends of African Descent. Laura lives in Wallingford, Pennsylvania, with her husband and two sons.
