Chief Financial Officer

Joe served as AFSC's Chief Financial Officer. Joe has built an extensive career in financial leadership positions within nonprofits where he has gained significant experience.  For the last 10 years Joe was with Food Bank of South Jersey, a nonprofit which provides food access to the needy.  During his tenure as COO and CFO he was responsible for financial operations, financial reporting, auditing, and a variety of operational projects.  In this role he undertook various projects and initiatives and oversaw the growth of the organization by over 400%. He worked with various stakeholders and established sound financial practices that led to sustainable growth including management of several government grants and funding streams. Joe’s skills include implementing new accounting standards, streamlining financial processes with systems, inter agency transactions, budgeting and forecasting.  Joe has received several recognition awards including being named top CFO by South Jersey Biz and Man of the Year (Professional) by South Jersey Magazine. Joe is an avid cyclist, motorcyclist and small airplane pilot. He loves watching his two sons play soccer.
