Caren Marshall grew up in a Quaker community near Jericho Friends Church, Winchester, Indiana. The Quaker history of her parents and grandparents influenced her pursuit of a Master's degree in Social Work from Indiana University. Her career included 22 years as CEO of a non-profit rehabilitation center that provided therapies, education and job training to children and adults with disabilities. Caren has served in leadership positions with Goodwill Industries International's Board and its Council of Executives as well as on local boards with Rotary, Chambers of Commerce, Southern Indiana's Women's Foundation and Soroptomist International. She previously served on AFSC’s Stewardship Committee from 2015-2018 and the Investment Subcommittee, and now serves on the Governance Committee.
