Javier recently graduated from South Dade High School and now works as a civic engagement organizer promoting and helping others in Homestead register to vote. He believes that people hold power to create positive change in his community. His efforts in organizing are youth-centered to bring other youth like him together to make his community better.
Javier is an anime enthusiast and spends his free time reading magna, comics and watching DBZ. He has daily online gaming meets with his friends and uses the time to check in and make quarantine time pass along faster.

“We took going outside for granted and since the pandemic many of us have been stuck inside. This shows me looking outside a window hoping to get back to normal times. All while wishing to go out again without worry.”
