The Country Representative is responsible for overall management and program direction, legal obligations, reporting, interpretation, and stewardship of AFSC resources in Zimbabwe, with regional oversight that includes South Africa. The Representative serves as Official Representative of the AFSC; manages contacts with government ministries, embassies, donors, media, UN agencies, local and international NGOs. He/she reports to Regional Director for Africa, hires, mentors and supervises program and finance and administration staff; is a member of the Africa Leadership Team, consults and collaborates with Philadelphia based staff, regional staff and others as appropriate.
