In our first Border Talk we introduced our research Community Perspectives on Border Externalization and Militarization: A Global Analysis. This study, conducted by AFSC, examines the perspectives of communities in four key regions of our International Program operations: Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and Caribbean. Adopting a decolonial and intersectional approach, the research analyzes the impacts of border externalization and militarization on people on the move, focusing on the lived experiences of those most affected and offering pathways for action.
In this second session, we’ll focus specifically on the Middle East, diving deeper into regional dynamics and providing space for collective learning, dialogue, and exchange.
