Pierre Nyabenda serves as a Program Assistant for AFSC Burundi Program and has been on staff with AFSC since 2018. 

A native of Bujumbura-Mairie in Burundi, Pierre has worked on Peacebuilding and reconciliation for over than 10 years with International and Local Organizations. He has a solid experience in planning, monitoring and management of peacebuilding and reconciliation projects and programs. 

Currently, Pierre is coordinating an EU Project on transitional Justice and Community Reconciliation called: “Dukomeze Kunywana” to Strengthen the rule of law and contribute to reconciliation and the non -recurrence of violence in Burundi.
