Katie McSwain is the current Potts Peacebuilding Intern for AFSC's St. Louis program. She grew up in St. Louis with her four younger brothers and two black lab dogs. Katie graduated from Kirkwood High School in 2021 and is currently a Sophomore at Miami University. She is studying International Studies, French, and Social Justice. As someone who loves learning about the interests and cultures of people around the world, Katie has spent a lot of time traveling. She spent two weeks living and studying with a family in Lyon, France and will spend a semester in Luxembourg in 2023.

Katie spends her time both as a teacher and student to further her own knowledge, as well as to share with others. This fall she will act as an Undergraduate Assistant for a social justice class where she will help teach lectures and facilitate conversations around important social issues.
