Debbie Southorn is the Program Coordinator for Chicago’s Peacebuilding program, where she has organized with youth and communities in Chicago around anti-militarism, divesting from policing, and ending surveillance since 2015.  

She is a founding advisory board member of the new anti-militarist youth organization, Dissenters, and helped coordinate the #NoCopAcademy campaign from 2017-2019.  Debbie’s writings have been published in Truthout, In These Times, and the Intercept, and you can learn more about her journey as an abolitionist organizer on this AirgoRadio podcast episode.
