The crisis in Sudan is dire. More than 60,000 people are dead, an estimated 12 million are displaced, and famine is spreading.
Despite an international arms embargo, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is supplying weapons, money, and diplomatic support to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in Sudan. The RSF is the militia that is committing mass atrocities and genocide in Darfur.
Today, we must urge Congress to stop U.S. arms sales to the UAE until they can certify that they are no longer supporting the RSF. The Stand Up for Sudan Act would stop all U.S. arms transfers to the UAE based on its ongoing support for the RSF.
