We all deserve to live in healthy, sustainable environments where everyone has the resources they need to thrive. But right now, the climate crisis disproportionately harms low-income, working-class, Indigenous, Black, and Brown people, and other marginalized communities worldwide. While these communities have contributed the least to carbon emissions, they face the most devastating consequences on their health, livelihoods, and homelands.
Congress has made some progress in working for climate justice, thanks to the organizing and advocacy of people like you. But elected officials continue to consider policy proposals that would prioritize profits for fossil fuel companies over human needs, gut what is left of environmental protections, and reverse progress we've made. As activists for peace and sustainability, we will not stand by as communities pay the price for corporate greed.
That's why elected officials must hear from all of us today. Tell Congress to act now to move us closer to climate justice!
