Member, Friendship Friends Monthly Meeting of North Carolina Yearly Meeting (Conservative). Walid was born in Amman, Jordan, and was raised in Ramallah, Palestine. He is currently the Senior Program Coordinator for Every Campus A Refuge at Guilford College. Walid considers himself a product of Quaker education having attended the Ramallah Friends School for his elementary and high school education, Guilford College for his undergraduate studies, and the Earlham School of Religion for his graduate studies. Walid attends Friendship Friends in Greensboro, NC, and has worked for a number of Quaker organizations including Guilford College, Earlham College, the Ramallah Friends School, and Friends Rehabilitation Program Inc. during his Quaker Voluntary Service year. While a student at Guilford College, Walid worked with AFSC's Greensboro office on the Gaza Pinwheel Project and Right to Education Tour, and briefly served on the AFSC local program committee.
