Pierre Nyabenda serves as a program officer for the AFSC Burundi Program and has been on staff with AFSC since 2018. 

A native of Bujumbura-Mairie in Burundi, Pierre has worked on peacebuilding and reconciliation for over 10 years with international and local organizations. He has solid experience in planning, monitoring, and management of peacebuilding and reconciliation projects and programs. 

Recently, Pierre coordinated an EU Project on transitional Justice and community reconciliation called: “Dukomeze Kunywana” to strengthen the rule of law and contribute to reconciliation and the non-recurrence of violence in Burundi.
