I am a member at Twin Cities Friends Meeting (St. Paul) the traditional land of the Dakota. Northern Yearly Meeting, where my committee work includes racial justice committee, and finance committee. My governance work in AFSC has been board member, member of corporation and currently on Midwest Region Executive Committee. I earned a BA of fine arts from Manchester University focusing on music education in undergraduate work. I earned an MA from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Supervision of Music Education. In my professional work, I taught middle school choir. School committee work included writing of curriculum, planning choir events, conferencing with parents and working in a team of colleagues developing middle school student goals for the social and musical growth and development of young adolescents. During my teaching career, I was an executive board member of Education Minnesota, and a member of Minnesota Music Education. My husband and I live in St. Paul. We have three grown children and five grandchildren. Most days you will find me outside, involved in a variety of recreational sports and inside working on my singing, both in private study and participating in classical singing in Chorus Polaris.
