Anthony Wolak is AFSC’s chief financial officer, responsible for the development and implementation of the organization’s financial strategy, policy and direction. He has more than 20 years of senior financial and operational leadership across global nonprofit, governmental, and mission-driven organizations.  

Throughout his career, Anthony has guided complex international development operations spanning Asia, East and West Africa, Central America, the Caribbean, Mexico, and Eastern Europe — supporting communities on the front lines of injustice. He also served as a U.S. Foreign Service Officer, managing large-scale government-funded portfolios across multiple regions with the U.S. State Department and USAID. Anthony is recognized for aligning financial strategy with mission impact, strengthening governance and risk analysis, and partnering with boards and executive leadership to build long-term organizational sustainability.  

Anthony is a CPA and holds a master's degree in public policy from Carnegie Mellon University. He and his wife and children recently relocated to a rural area outside Washington, D.C., where they spend as much time as possible exploring the outdoors.
