Adam Shapiro serves as Palestine Strategy Director at American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), where he coordinates the organization’s work to support Palestinian rights and advance justice. Adam has worked for over two decades as an activist, filmmaker and advocate in the Palestinian rights movement, as well as in the broader human rights movement, including at ARC – Artists at Risk Connection, DAWN, Front Line Defenders and Global Rights. He has been involved in numerous grassroots and student campaigns and efforts to support Palestinian rights in the U.S. and worked with Palestinian communities across the world, including with refugee populations in refugee camps across in the Arab world. Adam has lived and worked in more than 40 countries, but now is based in Michigan with his family.
