AFSC, partners, and allies took on Palantir around the world as part of the Purge Palantir campaign.
Between September 29th and October 1st, 2026, thousands of people across five continents joined the People vs. Palantir Global Week of Action, a series of protests, rallies, and public actions against the surveillance company Palantir Technologies. Organizers call it the largest international mobilization against the company to date. Palantir is a multibillion-dollar US AI and technology firm that collaborates with the Israeli military on the genocide in Gaza and with ICE to track immigrants in the United States.
Healthcare unions, students, community members, and human rights, digital rights, immigrant rights, healthcare advocacy, political, and environmental groups in South Korea, Australia, England, Denmark, Belgium, Norway, Switzerland, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, and the United States called on public institutions and private companies to cut ties with Palantir.
Protesters targeted Palantir offices and sites tied to its government clients, including ICE detention centers, England's National Health Service, and corporate customers such as Australian supermarket chain Coles. While each community presented its own demands, all shared one goal: end Palantir's contracts with government and corporate institutions.
DC activists attempted to deliver a "People's Summons" to Palantir executive Shayam Sankar to answer for Palantir's role in the genocide in Gaza and attacks in Iran. Activists in Seattle dressed as "orcs", a monster from the Lord of the Rings series where Palantir gets its name, to deliver job applications to Palantir's office.
San Diego, California: AFSC and immigrant advocate allies celebrated a win with their campaign on Rep. Sara Jacobs, who previously took money from Palantir executives. In the days leading up to the week of action, her campaign confirmed to AFSC that she had redirected the money to a local workers rights group. Organizers celebrated Rep. Jacobs for cutting ties with Palantir at a rally outside of an ICE detention center and highlighted how ICE uses Palantir tools to take our neighbors.
Denver, Colorado: Denver Anti-War Action and allies, including AFSC, rallied outside of the Colorado state pension fund office to demand that it divest its stock holdings from Palantir and other companies supporting violence around the world. The state pension fund held over $62 million in Palantir stock as of June 2026.
New Orleans, Louisiana: The Eye on Surveillance Coalition, in collaboration with AFSC, hosted an art build and education event on surveillance tech used against everyday people in their city. People learned about Palantir and how they can stand up against surveillance in NOLA.
Nashville, Tennessee (digitally): About 130 AFSC supporters called the corporate office of HCA Healthcare, a nationwide hospital network based in Nashville that uses Palantir software, asking the company to listen to the nurses organized with National Nurses United and drop its contract with Palantir. These calls were made as part of the AFSC Action Hour for Palestine immediately before the week of action began.
