67 Sueños alongside the Free Our Kids coalition recently launched their End Youth Incarceration Campaign for Alameda County. They presented a 10-point plan created by system-impacted youth to envision how their communities can drastically change if we implement their solutions.
This town hall was able to bring together over 150 community members including youth, local organizations and key city officials, including DA Pamela Price, Chief Public Defender Brendon Woods, Oakland City Council President Nikki Bass, and three additional city council members.
This event was truly youth led from our MC’s, Performers, to the Speakers. We hope this is the first of a series of Town Halls in the fight to End Youth Incarceration in our county.
