Marielle Oetjen is the Regional Director for AFSC’s West Region. In this role, she manages AFSC’s programming in the 13-state area covering the western third of the U.S. The work of the West Region includes advocacy and organizing in support of an end to militarism, lasting and just immigration reform, an end to mass incarceration, and other social and economic justice programs.
Marielle previously served as AFSC’s Associate Regional Director in the West and earlier in the Central Region. She has extensive experience in nonprofit and philanthropic administration, management and development. She also is an experienced consultant, providing services in fundraising, strategic planning and facilitation. She has worked and volunteered for LGBT, HIV/AIDS, bicycle and trails advocacy, personal financial management and other community-based organizations. Marielle has a B.A. from Columbia University in New York, NY. She is a member of the Colorado Springs, CO Friends Meeting.
