US Peacebuilding Research and Bridging Intern

The American Friends Service Committee US Peacebuilding internship offers an opportunity to gain experience in nonprofit peacebuilding while supporting AFSC’s work to create social justice and peace. The AFSC is a faith-based, international non-governmental organization, operating in 17 countries and headquartered in Philadelphia.

The intern will support the US Peacebuilding team tasked with advocating for just and sustainable peace in the areas of healing justice, militarization and Palestine activism. The intern will collaborate with AFSC staff and volunteers to identify effective ways to advance our peacebuilding efforts around the carceral system. This will include research on tools to end the use of the death penalty and our collective reliance on policing. Additionally, this position will explore bridging opportunities in these areas.
