In 2025, Congress passed the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act,” which made the largest ever cuts to Medicaid and SNAP. These cuts will cause thousands of preventable deaths each year as people lose access to healthcare. And without food assistance, millions more will struggle to put food on the table.
Instead of investing in human needs, the government is funding more tax cuts for the rich, a bloated military budget, and ICE detention and deportation.
