Private Prisons: The Public's Problem, Supporting Materials

To support our claims and aid future research AFSC is making as much of the supporting documentation for Private Prisons: The Public's Problem available for download. AFSC makes no claims about the accuracy of information provided below. Many of the documents are in response to FOIA requests, and the quality of responses varied.  For example, when states were asked to provide data on prisoner safety some responded with summary data, others with raw incident reports; summary data may or may not fully reflect the events that happened, and collections of incident reports may or may not be complete and accurate. For reports created by other organizations the authors are solely responsible for their own statements and conclusions.
