Increase Your Spoken Word Performance Skills

And Your Ability To Speak Out

For A Better Community And World!

We invite high school-aged youth who want to help improve our community and world to attend this spoken word workshop addressing the theme “If I Could Change the World.” Participants will have the opportunity to create new poems, refine their writing, practice their spoken word performance and receive constructive feedback from at least four spoken word artists and other youth.

At our earlier workshop youth commented:

This was the best poetry workshop I’ve ever been to.”

It was super Awesome.”

After attending the workshop, you can attend or share your poetry at the Kickoff Performance, 4:00 to 6:00pm at The Writers Place or at other venues this spring.

To reserve a place in the workshop contact us at: afsckc@afsc.org, or call 816 931-5256 or on Facebook: http://on.fb.me/1hsm7F0 . Participants under 18 years of age are required to bring a completed parent permission form available online at:
