Marching for justice

May Day or International Workers' Rights day is hugely celebrated around the world.  In Rhode Island all workers join together to call for dignity and decent treatment at work, living wages, and preservation of the right to organize the workplace.  We will gather for a rally outside Burger King on Broad St (across from Centeral High School) to call for a living wage for food service workers, then march through the city to the Hilton to call on the owners to stop firing workers who are organizing their fellow workers for decent treatment and living wages.  Next we go to City Hall to call on them for solidarity and real implementation of the First Source ordinance, then on the the Renaissance Hotel (more wage and dignity issues) and on to the State House for a closing rally.
