The offering for this month's film series is a video made by a student group (mostly from Howard University in DC) who went on a delegation to Arizona to learn about how SB 1070 is affecting people living there.  This 15 minute film was made by the Center for New Community in Chicago with the intent of using it at universities and with young people to inform and inspire them to get involved on the issue.

We showed it yesterday after worship at Trinity and it prompted a very interesting discussion.  Although this film is in English, we have enough bilingual folks to facilitate a full discussion and it is visual enough that people were not excluded.  We hope you will come watch the film and also be thinking about where you could take and show it.

Cloee Cooper, the filmmaker, has offered an unlimited number of copies if we can get this shown around the state.  Its relatively short length makes it very accessible for church or organizational use, and we all felt it was very inspiring.  Of course we will use the same format of a shared meal afterwards! So please come and please get the word out to your networks!

Followed by shared meal and discussion.
