FLYER - "At the Death House Door"

Feb. 17, 2014

Carroll Picket was the death house chaplain in Huntsville, Texas for 15 years.  This film tells his story of presiding over 95 executions, including that of Carlos De Luna, who was almost certainly not guilty of the crime for which he was killed.

With the legislature about to vote on a bill to repeal the death penalty, this film is indeed timely.  A discussion will follow.

The Culture of Peace and Nonviolence film series has films on the 3rd Monday of each month.  Admission is free, with donations encouraged.  The series is sponsored by Pace a Bene Nonviolence Service, AFSC, Temple Beth Jacob, NH UCC Peace with Justice Advocates, NH Peace Action, and the Concord UU Church.
