The American Friends Immigrant Services (AFIS) legal team and the Catholic Charities in Monroe County (CCMC) began a new adventure in 2015 to reach the most marginalized and vulnerable migrants in the cities of Marathon and Key West, Florida—the most southern cities in the U.S. with almost non-existent legal services.

In one particular case, this man from Eritrea had not seen his wife and children in nine years. And he was such a ‘Dad’ figure, you could tell how much it hurt him not to be around his family. He cried in my office a couple times – here was this man in his 50s.
AFSC Immigrant Rights Program provides legal services to eligible young people. If you are interested and think you qualify for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), you will need to call our office number: 973-643-1924 to make an appointment. Prior to your appointment, you will need to fill out the Intake Form and collect all necessary documents listed under "DACA-What You Need to Know-Documents," both attached. You should check out our "DACA Document Check List" and collect as many documents as possible to bring to your appointment.
